Want to see how many days are left until your trip? Save your departure date in Lumiday, check the details, then add a countdown widget to your iPhone Home Screen. These three steps show you how.
What it looks like
This guide uses “National Day Trip” as an example. Replace the name and date with your own plans. The screenshots use Simplified Chinese and sample events. Use your own dates; labels may vary by language and iOS version.
Create a travel countdown
Open Lumiday and tap the plus button in the top-right corner. Enter a name for your trip, choose your departure date, then tap Save.
Check your travel countdown
Confirm that the trip name, departure date, and remaining days appear correctly in Lumiday before adding the widget.
Add the widget from the Lumiday icon
Return to the iPhone Home Screen and touch and hold the Lumiday icon. Choose the widget size you want from the quick actions menu.

Can an iPhone Home Screen show a travel countdown?
Yes. Create a travel date in Lumiday and add its Home Screen widget to see the trip name, date, and remaining days.
Do I need to open the app every day?
No. The remaining days appear directly in the widget. Open Lumiday only when you want to create or edit an event.
Can I choose a different widget size?
Yes. Touch and hold the Lumiday icon and choose the size that fits your Home Screen.
Do I need an account to use Lumiday?
No. Lumiday requires no account and contains no ads. Your important dates stay on your device.
What if the widget shows a different event?
Touch and hold the Lumiday Home Screen widget and tap Edit Widget. Set Event Type to Specific Event, then select your trip.
What if the app icon menu has no widget size options?
Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen, then open Add Widget from Edit (or the + button on some iOS versions). Find Lumiday and choose a size.
